Let me first reassure you.
I have made almost every mistake in the book
Before consulting and creating courses, my previous job was as a forensic accountant. I did investigations into financial institutions that had sanctioned large amounts of people.
Excel and SQL were used for managing our project data. We would need to analyze hundreds of thousands transactions for the legal team.
One time, I worked on the Excel master dataset for several days. However, the unique identifier column wasn’t visible. These unique IDs have been removed from all sorts and filters.
I panicked when I realized that the ID numbers were completely out of sync. with It was impossible to access the data from the other source.
(Thankfully, I was able to create a new unique identifier based on the data, and use that to retrieve the IDs from an older copy of the dataset, where they weren’t messed up.)
I have learned the important lesson of being cautious with We discuss data management and maintaining a good audit trail throughout the course.

It was also around this time that I realized how valuable solid data and spreadsheet skills were, and I’ve taken every opportunity to further my skills since then.

Seit Mitte-2015, I’ve been working as a freelance spreadsheet developer, data consultant and instructor.
