Rhythm Lessons 1-5
The rhythm section consists of 5 lessons that are about rhythm. They teach you how to read it, count it and how to play it.
There are many examples of common time, quarter notes, one-eighth notes and triplets.
You will learn how to swing and straight, and you will be able to play many songs that sound a lot like the popular songs you already know.
Rhythm Lessons 6 & 7
Lesson 6 will cover power chords and lesson 7, which will include palm muting, as well as a variety of rock riffs.
Rhythm Lesson 8
Lesson 8 includes all open position power chords as well as some great AC/DC and Zeppelin-style riffs.
Rhythm Lesson 9
Because now Classic Rock Blues is the foundation of our soul. We spend Lesson 9 discussing that influence and then we play a lot of blues-based rock riffs. These are just a few examples from the real world, but you will quickly see how they work in your life.
Rhythm Lessons 10 & 11
Lesson 10 will show you how to learn the names of every note on your guitar in a matter of minutes per day. We’ll then put it to work in Lesson 11 as we cover all the moving chord shapes.
You’ll quickly see that knowing a few chord shapes and the names for the notes on the guitar will allow you to play almost any chord you need.
Rhythm Lesson 12
Lesson 12 is my favorite. It’s where I get into partial chords and other embellishments such as the Rolling Stones Move or suspended chords. This technique has been used by everyone, from Tom Petty and Eddie Van Halen.
Rhythm Lessons 13 & 14
Lessons 13 and 14 will focus on the soft side of classic rock, with lessons in fingerstyle riffs and arpeggios. These are the ideas that you’ll hear in songs like “Dust In The Wind,” “Simple Man,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Behind Blue Eyes,” “Landslide,” There are many other options.
Lead Lessons 1-4
First, we’ll cover the basics of soloing, including bends and slides, hammer ons, pull-offs and the minor pentatonic scaling in both a. “box 1” With and in “extensions” You can add a little more fretboard.
We will also discuss important methods to practice your scales so you can use them correctly when needed. We’ll talk about “melodic sequences” apply the rhythms that you have learned in the rhythm section to your leading playing.
Lead Lesson 5, Solo 1
This solo is Jimmy Page-style. “Stairway” changes. This 1 set (a) of chord changes “chord progression”It is the background for many classic rock songs, including hundreds of thousands. Knowing how it works is crucial.
You can follow me through the entire thing note-for-note and I’ll break it down into five individual licks you can use in solos.
Lead Lesson 6
We’ll be discussing lesson 6 “the blue note” Learn how to transform your minor pentatonic into a minor scale of blues.
Lead Lesson 7
This section will discuss how to move the minor pentatonic or blues scales anywhere on the guitar fretboard. It’s easy to quickly change keys.
Lead Lesson 8, Solo 2
Solo 2 is inspired by Angus Young. “Back In Black” Style chord progression is a very popular chord progression that can be found in many songs.
This solo is about adding the bluesier elements from classic and hard rock into your solos and soloing in an entirely new key.
Lead Lesson 9
Lesson 9 will cover boxes 2, 5, and 3, as well as 4, to connect the whole fretboard for soloing. The minor pentatonic, minor blues will be explained. “boxes” Connect to create a map of scale tones across your entire guitar.
We will also be looking at another. “root-centric” Many classic and blues-rock guitarists, as well, use layout as much as 90%.
Lead Lesson 10, Solo 3
Solo 3 is in David Gilmour’s style, just as he would approach a song like “Comfortably Numb.” Although the chord progression is very similar to Solo 1, it allows us to learn how to count and play sextuplets at a slower tempo.
Although you may not have heard of sextuplets before, I can guarantee that you’ll be enamored by their sound. You’ve probably always wanted to play faster blues/rock, like these. (Just ask Joe Bonamassa and Billy Gibbons or Richie Blackmore.
Lead Lesson 11
Lesson 11 is all you need to know regarding harmonics and much more!
From natural harmonics to 2-hand tap harmonics “squeals” This will make Zakk Wylde envious of Billy Gibbons.
Lead Lesson 12, Solo 4
Billy Gibbons is a great example of a man who would never show you how you can do the pinch harmonics but not give you an opportunity to practice them.
Solo 4 is in the spirit of Reverend Texas, and you’ll probably recognize the song it would be a good fit for.
Lead Lesson 13, Solo 5
I love to say that solo 5 is a melting-pot of influences. This is a similar arrangement to the one Mike McCready used to play in the early 1990s, but the licks are straight out of the early and mid 1970s.
You will find licks from Ace Frehley and Jimi Hendrix in this amazing solo. Guitar Player magazine’s greatest of all time, as far as I can recall.
Lead Lesson 14
Lesson 14 will teach you everything you need about the major pentatonic, major blues and how you can use what you already know without learning new patterns.
And I’ll also be covering one of my favourite patterns, the “3+2” Pattern is a common theme in solos that use major pentatonic and major blues sounds (The Beatles and Lynyrd Skynyrd), and it’s a frequent feature.
Lead Lesson 15, Solo 6
George Harrison’s solo has always captivated me. “Let It Be” It was a perfect place to show off the greatness of the major pentatonic sounds.
Additionally, I included a few other little fun things that Jimi Hendrix might have made famous that you may recognize.

These solos are a great example of the combination of the blues and major pentatonic sounds. From solo 7’s Skynyrd-esque sound to solo 8, to solo 8’s more AC/DC-esque sound, I will give you a dozen ideas about how these two sounds can be combined to make the classic rock soloing sound.
You’ll be able to understand how these sounds interact, what you can do with them, and why. You will also be able to play a variety of cool new licks.
Note By Note, Step By Step
Each example and every lick in every solo will be broken down for you using my new tab on the screen. All you have to do it follow the red dot through each piece.

It will be amazing how much it can do! “musical knowledge” You’ll learn a lot more by following me than digging around on your own.
It was amazing to see how you combined teaching rhythm with lead for a particular style and sight reading.
Both, thanks to onscreen technology that will teach you sight-reading.
Guitar Instruction is so DISCONNECTED with actually PLAYING MUSIC.
Techniques can be learned in isolation. BORING…
It is possible to learn rhythm by yourself. BORING…
It is possible to learn sight reading by yourself. BORING…
The most boring of all …. THEORY IS ISLOATION…
Griff teaches classic rock styles very close to songs that you love. You become a better rhythm player, lead musician, and can sight read.
Anyway, that’s the reason I love it.
