Blues was a way to quickly jam with other musicians. Everyone knew exactly what to do. All I had to do was shout. “Blues in A” The drummer chose the beat and we all started to move.
My obsession with Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Blues legend, began when I became obsessed. After months of studying his playing style, I created practice routines to improve my skills and it was amazing what happened.
Analyzing his playing, and then creating practice routines that would allow me to quickly reach his level of skill, I completely and totally changed my soloing experience.
WHERE IT ALL COMES TOGETHER
After many months of learning technique, licks, and sequences, I finally had something that I could actually use. I was now able to offer my professional expertise in this area.
It grew into every area of my playing, and all the styles I was involved with.
