Learn how to bypass the conscious mind and use the clinical environment to close the sale Hypnotic Language Patterns that can be used to take control of virtually any situation
You’ve probably ever wondered how to persuade, influence and get the support of others without being pushy or manipulative.
This letter may be the most important you’ve ever read. This letter is for you, whether you are a:
Salesperson who needs to increase your sales…
Coach or consultant who needs to persuade your clients more effectively…
Public speaker who wants to learn how to captivate and influence audiences on a mass level…
Parent who needs an unruly child to start listening…
Or simply someone who wants to learn how to get others to do what you want without dealing with resistance or combativeness…
But here’s the best part.
You don’t have to be a natural “people person”These techniques can only be used by a natural salesman or communication expert.
To prove it, I will tell you a story.
I promise it will be quick and it’s important that you hear it so you understand how these techniques can help you become a master of hypnotic communication.
My ability to have meaningful conversations with people has helped me get by for many years in the sales industry.
But in the end, that just wasn’t good enough.
Sales can be tough if you’re not part of the super-sales team.-Elite salespeople are able to write their own checks.
The only checks I wrote were for bills and they often bounced.

I was an average seller-person at best.
My paychecks weren’t much better when I worked 75-80 hours per week, which was like having two jobs.
To make a long story short, my girlfriend was living in a 2-room basement apartment with mice all over and a baby on her way.
The bathroom was so small, I had to go outside to dry my hair after taking a shower.
My bank account was negative 102 due to the overdrafts. I was also eating tuna out-of-the can on a daily base.
One time, we used cash advances on credit cards to pay rent.
As you can see, I was broke and also in deep debt at that time.
I realized that I needed to make changes quickly, or else I would keep sinking.
I Accidentally stumbled across these Master Level Compliance Techniques
I started looking for self-help resources.-I have used as many improvement resources and sales books as possible to help me further my craft.
I slept in as little as possible, and I used my sleep to download useful information.
One day a friend of mine gave some hypnosis cd’s that were designed to help me become a better communicator.
It was actually a lot of crap, so I set them aside for a while.
Hypnosis seemed like complete BS to me.
On stage, people are put into a trance by clucking and sounding like chickens.
Come on…gimme a break.
So I kept on trucking….
Reading sales book after sales book.
Learning technique after technique.
I still ran into problems.
I was always disappointed when a sales tactic I tried on someone would backfire, causing them to become annoyed and leave.
And it felt very unnatural.-natural.
Instead, I will go back to my normal mannerism of being a nice guy while keeping things casual.
And while that worked better than trying to use hardcore sales techniques it still wasn’t good enough because people were walking out the door without buying anything.
It was missing the magic ingredient that combines the technique with the conversational tone.
NLP came up as I was researching communication strategies and began reading about them.
I learned quickly that John Grinder and Dr. Richard Bandler, the creators of NLP, created the world.-Famous Milton Model of communication, based upon when they observed “almost magical” Communication skills of Dr. Milton Erickson, a hypnotherapist.
Erickson is well-known as the “father of modern hypnotherapy” He was undoubtedly the most persuasive man of all time.
Funny thing is he wasn’t born a “master of persuasion”.
After falling very ill, he developed the skill of persuasion.
See, he was 17 when he contracted Polio.
He was so paralysed that he could barely speak, and almost completely crippled.
His mind started to work overtime after he lay in bed for many months.
He recognized the importance of nonverbal communication between his family and his doctors.
He studied body language, the tone of each person’s voice, and the contrast between verbal and nonverbal expression.

He also started to see the world differently. “body memories” He used to move his muscles when he was able to walk.
He concentrated on these memories and slowly recovered the use of his upper body, so that he could speak again and use his arms.
He was a superhuman.-Human goal.
He planned to go on a 1,000-mile canoe trip in an effort to strengthen his leg muscles.
His adventure was challenging and exciting. He was able to walk again after returning from his trip with the help of a cane.
He was self-employed-Hypnosis was a tool that allowed him to overcome the pain and lack mobility in his life.-Polio is a serious threat
His 50-year career included research into the link between suggestion and Hypnosis.
Erickson was a pioneering thinker. His theories were radically different to the hypnotic techniques used in his day by the psychoanalysts.
Contrary to a session where the subject is in passive mode, the hypnotist will take the subject into hypnosis. Then offer suggestions.
Ericksonian sessions would have stressed the interaction and conversation between subject and patient.
He used the conversational hypnosis he had developed to help patients tap into their unconscious mind’s resources to find the tools needed to change.
This is the real secret to mastering influence.
When you can help the subject, client, customer, friend, family member or whoever else find the resources and power within themselves to take the actions they need to take to improve their lives…
You can be the hero.
First, convince them to act or think differently.
People are wired to resist any form of influence, change or persuasion.
This is true even if what you’re trying to persuade them to do will benefit them immensely.
You see every time your subject suspects that you’re trying to “sell” them on something it’s like a siren goes off in their mind.
Sometimes it’s conscious and sometimes subconsciously, but it happens.
This natural defense mechanism dates back to primitive times when we had to protect our resources constantly.
When you start the process of selling, influence, or persuasion on your subject, think like this.
“What are they really after?”
“What’s their motive?”
“What’s in it for them?”
“How much (time or money) is this gonna cost me?
This is what we call RESISTANCE.
It’s a dirty word.
I wish it didn’t exist.
But the fact is that it does and it’s not going anywhere.
And it’s exactly what I was dealing with when trying to become a “good salesman”.
Even the techniques I thought would help me were actually hurting me.
It all comes down to direct influence.
If you try to influence someone directly, they will resist you more.
What I Learned About The “Father of Modern Hypnotherapy”
Erickson knew all about that nasty word resistance.
He also knew that people are naturally resistant to design.
He knew that people could not be hypnotized without lowering their resistance.
He aimed to lower resistance before hypnotizing the subject.
Erickson’s approach is more accommodating than direct.
Here’s an example of what a classical Hypnotist might say. “you are going into a trance”Erickson would have something to say about it. “you can comfortably learn how to go into a trance”.
He gave the subject the opportunity to accept the suggestions that they were most comfortable with at their own pace and with an awareness the benefits.
They are aware that they are not being hustled and take full ownership and part in their transformation.
And just like that…mission accomplished!
Erickson reduced the resistance, got the client to comply and as result became the client’s hero.
This intrigued me.
I started reading everything I could find that was Milton Erickson-related.
After studying his communication strategies, I realized that my thoughts about trance and all the other things I thought were true were I dead wrong.
Trance can be described as a state of increased awareness.
Every day, everyone (including you) enters trance states.
Erickson used indirect influence to his advantage.
He would use something called to distract the conscious mind “artfully vague” Language and was able influence his clients subconsciously with ZERO resistance.
The Truth About Hypnotic Trances and how they work
Take a moment to imagine this.
A mother wakes up to her baby crying.
She grabs her baby and changes his diaper. Then she gives him a meal.
She actually runs all day, taking care of various tasks.
While multitasking, her conscious mind is constantly working on many things.
Then, finally, it’s the end of the day and she sits in a chair to have a cup of tea, now that the baby is asleep.
Her mind wanders to an older memory.

It’s her father and her gathering eggs together on her grandparent’s farm when she was a child.
She is able to see the image clearly in her mind.
At that moment, she’s in a trancelike state as she focuses on the sights and sounds and feelings of that particular day and hour.
For a short time, all the noises and events in her environment aren’t bothering her.
Instead, she’s gone deep into her mind to access this hidden memory.
She’s entered a trance.
Take a look at your daily life.
Although your attention is constantly shifting from one task or idea, there are times when your concentration and attention are extremely focused.
Perhaps you’re watching a riveting movie or you’re doing something you love and you look up to see that the clock has advanced a few hours without you even realizing it.
Trance is any time you become so focused on one thing that it becomes difficult to see other stimuli, that you lose your attention throughout the day.
Trance can also include anxiety, depression, love, and phobias.
If you are afraid or concerned about spiders, then you will pay more attention to the scary spider.
It is possible to be paralysed and unable move.
Hypnosis can be described as one type of trance.
You can induce it by a hypnotist or yourself.-induced.
It was the moment I realized that only one of these techniques was unfair.
That’s when I decided to give those hypnosis recordings a chance and eventually I started seeing the benefits of listening to them.
I felt more confident.
I was able access more resources and became the second highest-selling salesman, behind only one man…we’ll call Steve.
Funny thing is, I was much more of an a. “people person” He was more than he was.
He was pushy, and would resort to violence when necessary. “hard closing” People when he needs to.
He seemed to beat me each month.
My boss then sat down with me and said, “Then, one day…” “Paul, you know you’re a better sales person than he is right?”
“Yeah I guess so” I replied “but he always seems to beat me”.
“He beats you because he makes more presentations than you do” He stated.
Sales is, in a sense, a numbers game.
Your chances of making a sale are higher if you speak to more people.
Increase sales by scheduling more appointments
I realized that my greatest obstacle was not scheduling enough appointments.
I was unable to make as many presentations as he was.
I realized quickly that Erickson was using The Double Bind Pattern, which is a trick from his bag.
In the simplest definition of bind, it means to impose a certain type of responsibility on someone.
A bind is an action that a statement triggers. This is called a simple pattern or source.-And-effect.
Binds are words that usually suggest an option or choice. However, the receiver will choose to follow the speaker’s wishes.
Double Bind patterns offer listeners two options: choice A or B.
The meaning of choice A in this structure is the same as that of choice B, but it’s phrased differently.
Here’s an example: “Would you like us to set an appointment now or should we just mark a specific time when we can meet?”
Choice A is “set an appointment now” And choice B is “mark a specific time when we can meet.”
Both expressions mean the exact same thing but are phrased in a different way.
Your listener has two options: an appointment now, or one scheduled probably tomorrow. It isn’t a huge difference.
After I began using this method, I was able triple the appointments I booked. Then I beat Steve to become the number one salesman.
Then I discovered the power of the Metaphor and how you can use it to open someone’s mind to a new point of view.
Then, tag questions
The Universal Quantifier is then…
Naturally I was interested to learn more about these patterns and how they could be used in all aspects of my life, not just sales.
And I found tons.
The problem was that since I wasn’t planning on using these techniques in a therapeutic setting like Erickson did… I needed to figure out how to organize them in such a way that they could be used in the situations that I needed them for like..
Sales presentations…
Public speeches…
Social events.
Business meetings…
Dates…
Or in everyday conversations…
When I started my mission, I identified six key areas of communication in which we all find ourselves when trying to persuade others.
They include.
Reduce Resistance
Building Rapport
Creating Authority
Negotiation

Selling
Seduction
This means that almost all situations involving persuading another person can be filed under one of these six categories.
Once I figured this out I begin categorizing all of Erickson’s Hypnotic Language Accordingly, patterns
I created a framework that I could use to apply Erickson’s techniques to everyday life.
