Paul Watzlawick, He received his Ph.D. in 1949 from the University of Venice. He has an Analyst's Diploma from the C.G. Jung Institute for Analytic Psychology, Zurich. Watzlawick is a psychotherapist who has been in practice for over 30 year. He was the principal investigator and research associate for the Mental Research Institute. He was Clinical Professor at Stanford University Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Watzlawick is a noted family therapist; he is recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Family Therapy Association. He is also an author and coauthor.-Eight books on topics such as interactional psychotherapy and human communication were edited by the author or editor.
He came up with five ideas. Axioms. They are:
- It’s impossible. to Do not communicate. Every behavior is a form of non-verbal communication.
