Neuroplasticity is a term that describes how brain connections can be altered to alter how the body functions. This lecture will take you on a journey through neuroanatomy and the nervous system. It will also explore how the brain can affect tone, movement, and other key sensory functions. Karen Pryor, Ph.D., PT, DPT, He holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy, and has worked in the field for 40 years. Dr. Pryor Health Sphere Wellness Center is owned by Dr. David H. Smith, a Nashville-based integrative therapy clinic. Assisting in early intervention at the birth-For more than 30 year, she has been a part of the development of neuroplasticity techniques. These can be used in many settings, including schools, childcare centers, and homes.
Dr. Pryor Serves on multiple boards, including the Leadership Interagency Council for Early Intervention (2014).-2019), a post she was appointed to by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. In 2010, she received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her contributions to the advanced treatment of children from President Barack Obama. Dr. Pryor As an adjunct professor, she has taught at Tennessee State University Occupational Therapy School and Volunteer State Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program. She has been a clinical instructor at several colleges and universities. Dr. Pryor This research advances our understanding of how to integrate therapy across the lifespan using neuroplasticity methods.
