Actually, it was only one block from Santa Monica Beach, California. I was able to walk to work and make good money.

The job was a joke.
After two months of working there, I realized that I didn’t have to do much. I worked there for about a year and three months.

3:30pm: Get to my car (underground Parking). Take a rest.
4:00pm: This is the time my boss would go. In case my boss came by on his way out, I would make sure to be at work.

While it might sound fine on paper,…
I was miserable.
So, I Quit. Insanity…Right?
I was 24 years of age and earning $100,000.
Some might call it insane. Many did.
At the time I had a substantial amount of money. “authority” Blog, and it still does (it’s how you came across this page!). It wasn’t much though, just $100 per month.
Diversification was something I had to do.
So I created my first niche website about tequila products. (What can I say, I’m from California and love tacos and tequila). It was sold within a month.
It was not even a Tequila product.
It was a package of “potato chip chocolates” A customer had purchased after clicking my link.
It brought me a staggering $0.56.
Even years later, that tequila web site still makes me some money…
It was, however.
I didn’t want all my eggs in the same basket on my large site. What if it never grew?
The first tequila website didn’t succeed. It was successful but it wasn’t enough money.
So I came back to the niche site idea in the latter part of the year.
…because my larger website/blog didn’t work. I was afraid I would go broke and move back to California with my parents.
Talk about a nightmare. All those claims that my mind was insane were… well, about to come true.
Things have changed since then and the site has really taken off.
However, by then I had created a site about living in Ukraine (UkraineLiving.com). The first post was published, and it took a few months for this to happen:
