Michel Janet (Shelly). Denes, PT, C/NDTMaintains a current practice at the Rehab Institute of Michigan where she treats patients with multiple diagnoses, including hemiplegia and neuromuscular disease. She has been active in many aspects of rehabilitation. for She has been in the field for more than 25. She is an expert in advanced technology strategies and has a particular interest. for Complex clinical cases. Shelly is an expert in many advanced technologies such as FES cycling and FES Neuroprosthetics devices. She also has innovative lower extremity orthotics for patients to get back on their feet. Shelly is also involved in exoskeleton robotics for gait training for patients with neurological disabilities and other disabilities. Experiments gained during past professional experiences include those in rehab, outpatient, and SCI recovery settings.
Shelly has a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Michigan and a certification in Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT), in Adult Hemiplegia. Rehab Institute of Chicago. She has shared her expertise with professionals at seminars all over the country, at the annual Michigan Physical Therapy Association meetings, as well as through adjunct university work. Shelly’s expertise was also shared through expert witness work, both locally as well as nationally.
