The Duty Knife as a Backup Weapon Module was created to support and develop the skill sets of law enforcement professionals and responsibly armed civilians under violent combative conditions utilizing the blade as a backup to a firearm.

A large focus of this module is the utilization of the blade as an effective weapon retention tool when the firearm is under threat of being forcibly taken. Training is also provided for situations where your firearm has actually been taken, or is out of battery. Concepts, techniques and tactics are thoroughly explained in both standing and grounded conditions.  It takes a logical step-by-step approach to understanding the complexities of dangerous conditions, and provides principle-based solutions to upscale skill sets and improve the odds of survivability.

This online course covers at a minimum:

• Fundamentals of positions and mobility.
• Tactics for achieving dominant angles.
• Weapon grips, and manipulations.
• Offensive and defensive knife angles and templates.
• Skill building drills for close and medium ranges.
• Weapon retention tactics and drills.
