Drew Day, the founder and President of Base Camp Trading is an international speaker.-An experienced hedge fund veteran of over six decades, he has worked with several hedge funds that have managed assets in excess of $6.5 billion. Since 1996, he has been involved in systematic trading and portfolio management. He focused on trading global futures markets using a systemic, low-leverage and highly diversified trading plan. He traded in 40 different futures markets as a Commodity Trading Advisor.  Drew has been featured speaker at Bloomberg Markets New York and London, and is listed as a leading industry expert. “A Visual Guide to Hedge Funds” Published by Bloomberg Wiley.  He is also an active participant in proprietary trading. His own firm, which focuses on quantitative and behavioral trading systems, has been established by Bloomberg Wiley.

Base Camp Trading’s Head of Development and VP is Brian Strong.  Brian has had a varied 20-year career in software engineering, working on projects that range from mobile gaming to software for hedge funds. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Biological Sciences.  Brian is also heavily involved with proprietary trading. He develops and codes quantitative, behavioral, as well as machine learning trading systems.

Dave Aquino, a professional trader, has over 20+ years experience in real estate.-As a trader or portfolio manager, he has gained real-world experience. He began his career at Merrill Lynch, and later moved to Vanguard Asset Management, where he managed assets in excess of $650 million. His focus was on options income strategies. He is also a Vanderbilt University graduate.  Dave is a partner in Base Camp Trading. He specializes helping clients to understand the options available for earning income through trading. Dave is also involved in proprietary trading.

Thomas Wood, a professional trader, has more than 12 years of experience in trading the markets. He also manages hedge funds professionally. He began his career with a wealth management company, then started a hedge-fund business at 26. At the end of that time, he was a senior trader at MicroQuant. Thomas is a Partner at Base Camp Trading. His specialty is helping traders simplify the markets through understanding its world.-The most well-known price action trading strategies. Thomas also creates machine learning-based, quantitative, and behavioral trading systems.

Base Camp Trading’s John Osborn has many hats. You will see him in the trading rooms as a trading analyst, instructor and trader. John is also a trading analyst and instructor. He creates strategies and documentation for clients and BCT members to help them find trading opportunities that are in line with our trading strategy. John is a software engineer, trader, with more than twenty years of trading experience. He has also managed projects and held project management positions in large pharmaceutical companies. John is also a college computer science instructor.
