Jon Douglas Carlson (Ed.D., Psy.D. was a Distinguished Professor of Adlerian Psychology, educator-scholar, psychologist, athlete, husband, & father. Jon Douglas Carlson was born November 2, 1945 in Elgin Illinois. Father of five children and proud of his love for fifty years, Carlson was happily married to the woman of his dreams. Jon A prolific scholar, educator and college professor, he was also a psychologist, competitive athlete, and a champion for helping others in his community. He received his first doctorate at Wayne State University in 1971. He also earned his second doctorate at Psy.D. Clinical Psychology, Adler University, formerly Adler School of Professional Psychology in 1990.
A well-Respected professional psychologist Jon American Psychological Association (APA) awarded him the Distinguished Psychologist and Fellow distinctions. The Lifetime Contribution awardee of North American Society of Adlerian Psychology was given to him by NASAP. He was also a valued member of American Counseling Association(ACA), American Orthopsychiatric Association, International Academy of Family Psychology and Wisconsin Psychology Association (WPA). He received many awards for his professional achievements and was in leadership roles at the national as well as state levels of counseling and psychology.
