Uncover the origins and evolution of fashion from ancient Greece to the extravagance of the Renaissance and the turning point of fashion in the 18th century. Explore 19th-century fashion and how the Industrial Revolution affected textile production, printing, and patterns. Move into 20th-century fashion by exploring haute couture, World War I fashion, the Roaring Twenties and iconic flapper fashions.
Discover the impact of the fashion counter-revolution in the 1930s and 1940s and how Hollywood affected the fashion world at this time.
