The gut is basically a long hollow tube that runs inside your body. It’s designed to allow the good stuff in (such as nutrients from our foods) and keep out the bad (such as toxins, feces and undigested food particles). Leaky gut can lead to these. “bad things” The toxins, bacteria, and undigested food get in your body rather that being eliminated as waste.
These foreign particles can really harm your immune system. The gut wall houses 80 percent of the soldiers, and this is how they are supposed to protect you. This is known as the Gut GALT (Associated Lymphoid Tissue).
