We had to delay the event. Couples Conference We wanted to continue to offer access to the pivotal and unique couples therapy techniques we have been advocating for 25 years.
On Friday, April 3, eight of our acclaimed faculty members provided insightful introductions on their individual approaches to couples therapy. Dr. Jeffrey Zeig hosted the event, which featured Ellyn Bader (Ellyn), Terry Real, Harville, Hendrix, Helen LaKelly Hunt and Stan Tatkin as well as Shawn Giammattei sharing their perspectives.
This online stream was recorded and is available now to our audience. For only $29.95, you can order the four-hour streaming session. There's also an option to purchase an online continuing education credit add-on. This add-on will give you four APA-approved CE credits for home study. It costs just $10 per credit.

Shawn V. Giammattei PhD, a California licensed clinical psychologist and founder of the Gender Health Training Institute. He is a graduate of the California School of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology. He has 19 years of professional experience with families, couples, individuals and other people dealing with a variety of issues. He specializes in working alongside LGBTQ couples and families, with a particular focus upon the issues that are unique to transgender/gender-explicit (TGE), couples and TGE youth, and their families.
Dr. Giammattei holds the certification of a transgender specialist by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and is a member of their faculty for their Global Education Initiative. As an adjunct professor, researcher, and Coordinator of Training, he is also an affiliate researcher at the Rockway Institute, a national center for LGBT psychology education and policy at Alliant International University’s California School of Professional Psychology. He co-created the Rockway Certificate in LGBT Human Services, which includes the first semester long graduate course in transgender mental health and currently teaches graduate level courses in LGBT psychology, transgender mental health, and couples & family therapy. He serves as a consultant to Kaiser Permanente, Northern California, and Emory University in relation to their NIH-funded studies on the health outcomes for transgender patients. He is also the past president and current council member of the Association of Family Therapists of Northern California. He is also past vice-president and board Member of the American Family Therapy Academy. Mind the Gap, a non-profit organization affiliated to the University of California, Beniof, Child and Adolescent Gender Clinic, focuses on the needs of transgender teens and their families.
