This question stumped me. It’s a great question. They asked me the same question. It’s easy to forget how hard I struggled when my first started.
 
Sometimes we get so involved in the details that it freezes. We believe we have to create our product. We need upsells. We need downsells.
 
Automated funnels that are complex and require automated emails. Massive ad budgets, split-Software testing and tracking.
 
This list could go on.
 
But, I was compelled to ponder all the crap I had mentioned earlier when I was asked this question last Wednesday.
 
If I had nothing …. then everything …. was wiped clean. Let’s say that my goal was to create a $10k/mo company as quickly as possible.
I wouldn’t use anything complicated
No split software or funnel software-Tracking software or testing software.
 
I won’t waste my time creating my own products.
 
Instead, I would concentrate 100% of my time and energy, as well as any money …. I had, on ONE thing.
 
An email list. It is the only. “sure thing” As a marketer, I have a lot of trust. This belief is what I urge you to hold.

Here’s why:
 
It is possible that we will all wake up tomorrow morning to see a news story about Facebook closing its advertising platform. Perhaps Google will follow suit a week later.
 
Perhaps laws are passed that prohibit online paid advertising. It is unlikely, I know, but it could happen.
 
The only “sure thing” These assets are your assets. They can’t all be taken and can’t (for the most parts) be controlled.
 
Your email list? That’s YOURS. It is yours.
 
It took your sweat, blood, and tears to build it. Ain’t nobody gonna rip it outta your hands.

When they asked me what I would do …. if everything was lost, I replied with the following: After stopping and starting a few times, I finally gave them the answer I had just given.

I responded back with several strategies, and they bombarded me with really great questions.
