Otto Kernberg, MD, Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, he is a psychoanalyst. His psychoanalytic theories about borderline personality disorder and narcissistic pathology are well-known. The Personality Disorders Institute is located at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Division. He is also Professor of Psychiatry at Cornell University’s Weill Medical College. Dr. Kernberg is Past-President, International Psychoanalytic Association. He is also the Training and Supervising Analyst at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. Dr. Kernberg has co-authored twelve books. His most recent books include Psychotherapy for Borderline People: Focusing On Object Relations and Handbook of Dynamic Psychotherapy For Higher Level Personality Pathology.
