Research has shown that motivation is as important as cognitions in shaping how we think, feel and behave. It is also a factor that causes most therapeutic failures. Dr. Burns will present eight common forms of resistance, as well as powerful new techniques to remove resistance, before using cognitive, behavioral or interpersonal techniques.
