My journey to 6 Figures
Hi, I’m Hugo Fernandez.
I know what it’s like to start with nothing, have very few – if any – options, and yet still make 6 figures, because that’s exactly what I did!
You see, even though I was raised in a loving and caring family, we had very few resources. We were a family of 6 We lived well below the poverty level as children growing up in the US. My father never reached third grade, and he never earned more that $14/hr.
No one in our family or friends earned more than $30k annually. To pay for school supplies, I sold Mexican candy from my backpack and then sold tamales door-to-door to support my parents.
My mom and I waited in line at the food bank. I received free lunches at school and free clothes.
We struggled so much because of our lack of money. Even worse, my mother and I immigrated from Mexico to the United States at 4 years of age. This meant that I was undocumented.
Before I graduated high school, my family had been 14 times in the process of moving to better opportunities and lower rent.
The blueprint society had for everyone else – go to school, get a degree, get a good job, buy a home, retire when you’re 65 – simply wasn’t available to me due to my legal status. But the blueprint my parents had – work ridiculously hard and wish for the best – wasn’t working out that well for me either!
It was all I knew Had There is another way.
Since I was 15 years old, I worked full-time in manual labor and earned a few commissions.-Only sales jobs and unsatisfactory, I decided to start my own business in 2012, right after my 21st birthday.
The majority of people drink on their 21st birthdays.
I was at home and used my computer to search Google. “How to start a business.”
This inspired me to create Just Digital Inc, which is now the best digital marketing agency in Los Angeles.
I was earning $10k/month by 24. My first job was 25 years ago. 6 Figures for a full-year ($143,412 sales, $124.399 gross profit, according to my tax returns).
Since then my life has radically improved, not because of the money I make, but because of the person I’ve become in the process.
