Stephen Gilligan Ph.D.He is a psychiatrist in Encinitas. He was Milton Erickson’s first NLP student at UC Santa Cruz. and His mentors were Gregory Bateson and his wife. He was a Stanford University psychology graduate who went on to become one of the best teachers. and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy practitioners. This work led to his original Self-hypnotherapy approaches.-Relations and The Generative Self and In collaboration with Robert Dilts we went further into Generative Coaching. All of these traditions have been updated and integrated into the present Generative Change Work, which includes the applications of Generative Coaching, Generative Psychotherapy, Generative Trance, Hero’s Journey, and Systemic Change works.
