JOY R. SAMUELS D.MIN., LPC-MHSP, NCC, has over 25 years’ experience as a licensed professional counselor, Fellow in Thanatology, chaplain, and ordained minister. She teaches at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, and in the graduate mental health psychology department of Lipscomb University. She is a licensed counselor and supervises LPC candidates.-MHSP.
Dr. Samuels D. MIN. MDIV. Degrees from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC. She also holds a M.S. A degree in counseling psychology from California State University Northridge, CA and a counseling certification in substance abuse from Northern Virginia Community College Annadale, VA are two of her additional qualifications. Her areas of expertise include individual, couple, and family counseling, trauma, bereavement and post-traumatic stress.-masters supervision.
