Karen Lea Hyche, OTD, OTR/L, She is an occupational therapist who has been working in the field of sensory processing disorders, autism, and learning disabilities for over 20 years. She is also the owner of Hyche Center for Sensory & Motor Learning, Jasper, Alabama is an occupational therapy facility that treats children (birth).-16 years old) with a variety diagnoses such as, but not restricted to: to, developmental delays, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, visual-Perceptual deficits, poor writing, feeding difficulties, autism and poor handwriting are all possible. Dr. Hyche As an occupational therapist in Jasper county’s public schools for Four years of experience working with children, from pre-school through high school. She continues to As a consultant for As required, public schools. Her expertise includes providing psychiatric treatment. for children (birth-18 years) while she worked in a mental hospital. She is a member in the Alabama Early Intervention ICC, and serves as the chair in finance. Dr. Hyche Serves as a fieldwork teacher for Wallace State Community College offers an OTA program. Western Psychological Services certified her for Dr. Michael J. Smith is an ILS provider and teaches the Sensory Integration Praxis Test. Dr. Hyche Is the co-The author of the book, Classroom Strategies for Children with Autism, ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorders (PESI, 2014).
