What You’ll Learn
This program includes all Japanese Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 – 60 hours of spoken language practice and 5 and a half hours of reading instruction and practice. This program starts from zero. You learn survival phrases and vocabulary first, then progress to fluency in speaking and understanding. Japanese.

Two new phonetic alphabets (or kana) were created in the 8th century to bridge this gap: hiragana or katakana. Hiragana is used along with the kanji to show the syllables that form suffixes and particles – “sounds” In other words, katakana was used to translate foreign loan words. “coffee” Oder “computer.” Today, Japan uses a combination of the three writing systems. Kanji, hiragana and katakana are often found in a single sentence.
