This 1-Day seminar gives participants an easy-to-understand, concise explanation about basic social policies and ethics that guide schools-Pediatric practice and evidence-based practices. The following will be reviewed as part of a review of social policies in relation to special education: Social Security Act of 1939. ADA. IDEA. No Child Left Behind Act. Race to the Top Initiative. We will examine the ethical standards for different professions and discuss possible solutions to ethical dilemmas therapists may encounter.Â
